Employees Honored for Service Longevity

One of the largest gatherings of family and co-workers in recent memory helped celebrate the District’s longest-serving employees at the 2014 Annual Longevity Awards Program. The event was held recently at the Education Service and Support Center. Employees were honored beginning with those who had 10, 15, and 20 years of service. Then came the 25, 30, and 35 year honorees. The event culminated with the recognition of Otay Elementary teacher Margaret Todal (striped dress in featured photo), who was recognized for 40 years of service to the students in our District. Members of the Board of Education, representatives of bargaining units, and an overflowing group of well-wishers congratulated the honorees. View slide show below, and brief video from the presentation.
